Football For All – Football For Equality
A Project to Empower Youth of Pakistan to End Gender Based Violence through Football
DWFC have been focusing on social change through football with a specific focus on promoting
participation of Girls in Football and to development of the football. This project had helped us to take
our mission forward and find out the talent in urban areas of Karachi ex Korangi, Landhi, Sherpao,
Lalabad, Ibrahim Goth, Metroville, Kemari, Lyari and Kharadar. We introduce the sports football in those
areas. Our objectives are to create a safe environment where Pakistani women and girls can flourish and
showcase their talent on National and International levels. Our objective was to create an awareness
regarding women football, food and nutrition, gender equality, basic human right, menstrual health and
give them the opportunity where they feel safe and know that it’s okay to be brave not perfect and find
out more youth leaders for the betterment of the society.
The project was divided in two parts Practice Sessions and Educational Life Skills Session with qualified
Speakers. Total 80 Girls were participated in the project.
The Speakers were:
Dr. Talaiha Chughtai MBBS, DCH, Dip in Pediatrician, Pediatric Nutritionist
Dr. Bushra Umais awareness on Gender Based Violence, Basic Human Rights and Values
Mr. Brett White from Sydney Australia on “Leadership and Sports MindShift”
Ms. Fizza Kashif Khan on Self Love and Girl Power
Ms. Saubia Fatemi on Fitness and Food & Nutrition
Ms. Nausheen Ahmedjee on Leadership Skills
Ms. Aliyah Mohyeddin on Human behaviour and Leadership
In the end of the project we organized a Football Tournament of 8 Teams, 10 on each. The trophies
were distributed to the Winners, Runner-up, 3rd Position and Fair Play. Individual Awards Golden Boot,
Golden Glove, Best Player of the Tournament, Best Defender of the Tournament and Fair Play Player
were given to these young generation to motivate them and to appreciate their efforts. Upcoming
Youth Leader Trophy with their Picture and One Motivational Captain Award, Medals and Certificates
was also distributed.
