For over 17 years Diya Women’s Football Club (DWFC) has been focusing on social change through football, with a specific focus on promoting participation of Girls in Football. The club’s mission is to empower young women to realise their potential in football. We believe that when you empower a young girl, you bring a change that lasts generations.
Diya Women’s Football Club has recently partnered with Girl Power Organisation of Denmark to participate in Football People Week which takes place in several countries in Europe and Asia in the month of October. This Danish non-profit organisation works toward empowering women and girls from different social and cultural backgrounds through sports.
As part of Football People Week, Diya Women’s Football Club had organised a “Fun Football Day” on Friday, 18th October 2019, at Haque Academy. We aim to encourage young girls to participate in sports and realise their potential. No prior experience of football is required, just bring along your passion to play and be active.
