DWFC has been working in Pakistan for over 18 years, focusing on social change through football. We do this through well-planned and comprehensive programs in health, education and mainly in sports. Diya Women Football Club (DWFC) is the pioneer of Women Football in Pakistan started in 2002 and recognised by Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) in 2006. It’s Founder and General Secretary, Sadia Sheikh, is the country’s only FIFA certified National Football Administrator and First Women certified Match Commissioner of Pakistan from Asian Football Confederation.
Our overall goal is the empowerment of women and girls from poor, different social and cultural background and marginalised communities, leading to improvement in their lives and livelihoods through Football. The Club’s mission is to help create an environment where Pakistani women footballers can flourish and showcase their talent and groom them for future international women footballers.
